A Celebration To Remember

Hamden: Gabriel Ciarleglio of Hamden recently celebrated his 5th birthday at the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts. Gabriel invited his friends and family to one of his favorite activities to share with them some of his Martial Arts movements that he practices on a weekly basis. Gabriel’s “Martial Arts Birthday Party” consisted of fun games and each guest had an opportunity to win prizes, with the finale being a piñata. All of the games, including the piñata, were done using the Martial Arts movements that the children learned during the party, and the Birthday Boy himself, Gabriel, picked most of them.

“Gabriel was a great host at his party, demonstrating and sharing his movements with his guests. Gabriel was also a great example of an Academy of Kempo Martial Artist, leading by example so his guests could see how to act in the dojo,” said Shihan Frank Ciarleglio, Gabriel’s instructor at the Academy.
