in Hamden recently held its eighth annual Champion
of the Week
Tournament.
Competitors had to demonstrate their self-defense concepts within their
sparring techniques. In the children's division: Emily Maranets
of
Woodbridge was two-time champion; Gabriel Ciarleglio and Khiry Oliver,
both of
from Hamden, were one-time champions; Kevin Antoine
of Hamden
was a four-time champion earning him the title
of Grand
Champion of
Summer 2010. In the beginner adults and junior adults division, Ziael
Aponte was two-time Champions.
