          Hamden/North Haven: The Academy of Kempo Martial Arts is teaming up with some UPS Representatives to help Anthony Bates and his family. Anthony is a North Haven resident and the UPS Package Car Driver who delivers to a large part of Hamden. Anthony sustained a major injury in an accident that has left him unable to walk. He is continuing his medical treatments, operations and therapy and is making progress. It is unknown to the doctors how much use of his legs he will regain. This is a tough time for Anthony and his family both emotionally and financially. With your help, we can lessen some of the financial burdens of this family.

          Their will be a fundraiser on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at New Britain Stadium to benefit Anthony. The Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) are playing against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets). These will be reserved seats at a cost of $8.00 per seat (which is the regular ticket price for the game). $4.00 of each ticket sold through the fundraising efforts will go to the Bates family.

          This event is for a great cause and it is a fun and exciting way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your friends and family.
