Hamden: On January 29, 2011, students from
the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts in Hamden earned their new ranks. There were
adults, teens and children from Hamden and Woodbridge in the belt promotion.
“These students have worked very hard to understand the techniques they have
learned and continue to show growth in their knowledge of martial arts
movement,” said Shihan Frank Ciarleglio, the Instructor and Test Administrator
at the Academy.
The martial arts takes commitment from the students and their
family, as well as the instructor to accept only the best, which is how success
is achieved at the Academy of Kempo. Congratulations to these students for their
success; Adult Ranks (adult and teens): Orange Belt - David Bamgboye and Blue
Belt with a Green Stripe – Antonio Rodriguez, Erin Joyce and Maya Caicedo.
Junior Ranks (children): Junior Yellow Belt - Alex Prosper, Celina Caicedo and
Connor Grace, Junior Blue - Belt Francine Corpus, Junior Blue Belt with a Green
Stripe – Gabriella Rodriguez and Junior Green Belt with a Brown Stripe -
Alexander Antoine. For more information on the Academy, you can call 288-9990 or
