Cadette Girl Scout Troop 60918
of
Hamden, led by Sherri Sosensky, donated 40 nonperishable food items to
the Academy
of
Kempo Martial
Arts
for the academy
's annual food drive to benefit the St. Ann's Soup Kitchen and the Keefe
Centers Food Bank.
The girls also participated in a
martial arts
class designed to help them complete the requirements for their sports
badge.
They learned some basic punches and kicks, as well as the theories
of
how to use them in self-defense.
