Bates Family Fundraiser
The
Academy of Kempo is teaming up with some UPS Representatives to help Anthony
Bates and his family. Anthony is a North Haven Resident and the UPS Package Car Driver who delivers to our
location in Hamden. Anthony sustained a major injury in an accident that has
left him unable to walk. He is continuing his medical treatments, operations and
therapy and is making progress. It is unknown to the doctors how much use of his
legs he will regain. This is a tough time for Anthony and his family both
emotionally and financially. With your help, we may be able to help this family
to lessen some of their financial burdens.
The fundraiser is on Sunday, August
3, 2008 at New Britain Stadium. Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) are playing against the
Binghamton Mets (New York Mets). These will be reserved seats at a cost of $8.00
per seat (which is the regular ticket price for the game). $4.00 of each ticket
sold through the fundraising efforts will go to the Bates family. All orders for
tickets must be received by July 18, 2008. Please make checks payable to Bates
Fundraiser c/o Roger Lavoie.
This event is for a great cause and
it is a fun exciting way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your friends and
family.
