Support the Troops
Here
at home we sometimes lose track and become detached from the things happening
elsewhere in the world. When our troops were deployed into Iraq, Afghanistan,
Kuwait and the Persian Gulf we all felt the need to help in whatever way we
could. Now here it is years later and we still have troops deployed. These
Troops still need our support today as much as they needed it years ago. This is
not about supporting the efforts that are going on there; this is about
supporting the men and women of our country.
The Academy of Kempo is
holding our third “Support the Troops Drive”. We will be collecting things
such as food and snacks, toiletries (no hotel samples please), entertainment and
sports supplies and many other items that are needed overseas. For a complete

We would also like to
encourage the children to participate in the event by making cards, letters, or
drawing pictures or posters for the troops.
All the items collected
will be sent to “Give2TheTroops”
an organization that is dedicated to giving
back to those who are giving their all. For more information on

The best time to drop off your donations at our Hamden location is:
Tuesday and Wednesday between 12:00 and 3:30pm and between class times.
Monday and Tuesday between 12:00 and 12:30pm, between 1:30 and 3:30pm and between class times.
Saturday between class times.
