Street Clothes Week
March 14, 2011 to March 19, 2011
The
Academy of Kempo Martial Arts is having “Street Clothes Week”. This is where the
students can wear their regular clothes to class. On one of the days during the
week, we recommend that you wear your school clothes or your work clothes and on
the other day, you wear the clothes that you would normally hang out in. If you
come in on a third day, you could wear anything you wish. Please be advised that
you will be going through all of your Martial Arts movements, so please do not
wear your best clothes just in case they become damaged.
When you are choosing, the clothes to wear you should not try to find clothing
that you can move well in; you should just wear what you would normally wear in
the occasions mentioned above. This drill is designed to help our students be
aware that their clothes might restrict their movements. If that were the case,
the best time to figure out what to do in that situation would be in a safe
learning environment.
Your martial arts shoes and your protective gear must still be worn.
